Nearly 40 volunteers planted 400 trees alongside Catfish Run as part of the 10 acres to be planted in the next five years.

A streamside buffer is the strip of land that runs alongside streams and rivers. Buffers play a critical role in protecting water quality, reducing stormwater impacts, aiding in flood control, stabilizing stream banks, filtering pollutants and providing habitat for wildlife.
